“Only One”

 “Only One”

by Suzán Jiván Mom & Mom-Mom Suzán

Only one of a whole bunch/stirred up/hitting one’s own hand in celebration/having once been a “no-show/not so fast/having been “scratched” in fear of “that”/exhaustion when all seems lost ..

An out-of-focus effect/blurry/foggy/fuzzy

misty/muzzy/gauzy/murky

out of this world/falling out of favor/going out of fashion/gone out of hand/totally out of gas …

“Something to Click”

 “Something to Click”

by Suzán Jiván Mom & Mom-Mom Suzán

Something to click

without giving permission

while unflinchingly

scrolling through uncouth

untruths of big galoots

after winning trivia pursuit

via an arm twist…

“ A Patch of Rampant Bamboo” ...

” A Patch of Rampant Bamboo “

by Suzán Jiván Mom & Mom-Mom Suzán

A patch of rampant bamboo
shoots sprouting all around clapboard houses
surrounding station wagons
forming thickets bringing in pandas
well before the ban of remaking health care

via juicy and outlandish big personalities
fueling solid “Nutcrackers” during leaves of absence
in order to bear heirs young and pale
more timid than can be imagined
footlights set aglare blaring back-to-back arctic blasts...

“ Mile-Long “...

” Mile-Long “

by Suzán Jiván
Mom & Mom-
Mom Suzán

Mile-long grisly surreal
unleashing inquiries
via mangled bodies
manically waving
down the highway
like zombied mobs

being cast in tragi-comedies
yet too senseless to believe
as sirens and police fein insanity
via pit bull tactics that sow doubt

bailing out loose cannons
scrambled harassments
clashes gaps knee-jerk
reactions casualty counts
messy battles handed down
commanding, “Stand Down!!!”...

“ Unveiling “...

” Unveiling “

by Suzán Jiván Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán

Unveiling charges copping
a plea to lying guilty
in the court of common pleas

pre-picking juries
with early words on “dirt”
risk averse to word searches that “hurt”

freely blocking bans defying breezy
highs in the mid-to-upper 60’s
becoming partly cloudy

broad-reaching messy sprays
in post-season celebration
being disseminated by champagne
and long-running labor cost savings
excluding damaging hurricanes

I’m just sayin’’
“There’s unrest in the Ancients’
faith in imagination
due to predation over decades”

filled with nets and lines
left with little-or-no life
yet not particularly surprising

like feeling zanily grateful
for “stupid fame”
It’s so hard to say,
“Being less read today”

via tragic association
teasing pie-in-the-sky
mimes that rhyme
getting hit broadside...
