like zombied mobs 

being cast in tragi-comedies
yet too senseless to believe
as sirens and police fein insanity
via pit bull tactics that sow doubt 

bailing out loose cannons 
scrambled harassments
clashes gaps knee-jerk
reactions casualty counts 
messy battles handed down
commanding, “Stand Down!!!”...

Unveiling charges copping 
a plea to lying guilty
in the court of common pleas

pre-picking juries
with early words on “dirt”
risk averse to word searches that “hurt”

freely blocking bans defying breezy 
highs in the mid-to-upper 60’s
becoming partly cloudy 

broad-reaching messy sprays 
in post-season celebration 
being disseminated by champagne 
and long-running labor cost savings
excluding damaging hurricanes 

I’m just sayin’’
“There’s unrest in the Ancients’
faith in imagination
due to predation over decades”

filled with nets and lines 
left with little-or-no life
yet not particularly surprising 

like feeling zanily grateful
for “stupid fame”
It’s so hard to say,
“Being less read today”

via tragic association 
teasing pie-in-the-sky
mimes that rhyme
getting hit broadside...

the breaking point

while dreaming
of enormous joy
but mournfully
left with prolonged
longing shoring
up ports of call

restoring rounds of talks
feeling twice as strong
offering choruses
of sonorous voices...

cellphone zombies
countering nonsense
still looking calm

feeling immune to being duped
within darkened rooms
of major institutions
constituting pursuit
of undisputed dystopian futures...
