" Pure Slapstick "...

" Pure Slapstick "

by Suzán Jiván Mom & Mom-Mom Suzán

Pure slapstick dexterity antics
frenzied dancing quivering lips
agitated histrionics cavorting and clowning
never letting the action lapse
developing rapidly no chance to relax

continuing hilarity spurred on by publicity
epitomizing wit in twisted positions
like newborn infants all pantomimists
in cotton tights on opening night
subtitled  "In the Limelight of a Meteric Rise"

drawling amusing lines suffering from laryngitis
with unerring timing in recent revivals
to no one's surprise from high society
all-too-wisely as a precocious child
via mobile show-stopping set designs
waiting to be dubbed "A Knight"
by a steadfast admirer befitting a wide-
eyed bride on her wedding night...

Earthy live action
out of the shadows
flower filled and idyllic

partnerships
of not-too-distant
simplicities

misty white lights
illusions of flight
side-to-side

fanning the fire
in flesh-colored tights
donning sparkly leotards

leaping like prima ballerinas
into legions of galaxies
feeling newly released

being borne from tragedy
breathing beauty
while healing the lonely...

Shunning the smock
in the latest arena art
ensconced in mirror-polished
polka dots on telescopic roof tops

entangled by stars
like glazed pottery shards
as hallmarks of romance novels
for the misbegotten

snarling roadblocks
sweaty palms
on carbon yardsticks
in 400 parts per million

measured within
mythical labyrinths
of religious and civil
extinct pathogens...

Extreme messaging
super-sized stickers
chat windows
cracked open
unassuming arrows
confetti throws
seeping makeovers
voraciously doled out
shrinking down
dragged and dropped
in dribs and drabs
via-á-vis blocked topics
brutally honest rueful noir...

Tackling tchotchkes
fringes dangling
blowsy rockability chic
saloon-style lettering
from previous eras

intermixing psychedelia
plus perennial expletives
engendering improprieties
like the dismantling of old hits

backed by oral OTC anti-anxieties
as hermetically sealed secretive
self-actualities empirically
ill-advised monetized beings
grabbing-and-going as we so please...
